Just some random pics...

If you are wondering why I dont have as many pics of Kayli it is because she doesnt always like getting her pic. taken. But as you can see, Laney loves it. :)

Laney thought she was so funny!

here, she thought she was cool and funny!

Pounds!

I dont know how many ppl. know that I have been going to the gym since Jan. It was my New Years resolution to lose some major lbs. this year. I dont have a goal weight...I mean, when I was 20-25 I weighed anywhere between 120-135 lbs. I was thin I suppose. I would love to weigh in that area again but I dont know. I just know I was miserable being such a fatso. Bleghhhh...I was such a lazy bum! I look at my kids and I wonder why I let myself get so out of shape and so unhealthy. So I did it for them and myself. I can say I have gone to the gym, faithfully, 4-5 times every week. Sometimes more if I have the time/energy. Ok, well, despite when my kids were sick I did skip a few days here and there. And to date I have lost 22lbs. And I dont even look like I did! hahahah

I have issues w/ eating 'healthy'. I just think it is so hard... Esp. w/ kids and a husband that eats nothing but fast food, fried food, chips, and sweets. I grew up being able to eat whatever I wanted, whenever I wanted, not having to exercise at all and I was still skinny. Eventhough, now I exercise I think I can eat whatever I want. And I see that isnt the case. So I am going to get my old Weight Watchers book out and try to stick to my points. Then I can see how much weight I lose while exercizing AND watching my diet!

Tooth and burgers

Another rainy day, here! I went to the gym this AM and took Laney w/ me. Kayli decided to stay home w/ Matt. He went into work last night so he could have off today. I love when he does that...I love when he is home w/ us. Even if he is playing Xbox, a lot...he still makes himself available to us if/when we need him. I love my Matt <3.>

We had two firsts today...well, sort of. Laney ate her first cheeseburger. We took the girls to McDonalds and they each got a burger and apple dippers. They both ate all their meal which makes me happy that we didnt waste the $. I cant believe she actually ate beef! She never eats it, no matter how much I try to give it to her. Yeah, Laney...momma is proud that you ate your first cow!!!! hahah

Also, Kayli is about to lose her first tooth. Her front bottom tooth is loose. I have been staring at this tooth for the past several weeks, everytime she talks. I noticed there was a larger space between it and the other tooth then there was before. I asked her if I could feel her tooth and it was loose! I wasnt expecting it to be...but it deffinately was. That was about 5 hrs. ago. So now it is much more loose b/c she keeps playing with it. Probably in a few nights we will have a visit from that silly toothfairy! What do parents do for their kids these days when they loose a tooth? When I was little, I was lucky if I got .50cents. I am not complaining but something tells me that now-a-days, kids get a new porche, a horse, or a home on the beach for their first lost tooth. That freakin' tooth fairy must get paid the big bucks for that!!! HA! Atleast Kayli isnt expecting much but she will probably lay awake waititng to see a little fairy flying in her room. And how much do you want to bet she will tell me she really did see a fairy at her pillow!!??

Organized? hardly!!

I need to find a way to get organized! We have a small house...well, small for 4 people. Especially since we have two children that have way too much stuff! I already went through everything of theirs and threw a good amount away. All the things that were broke, missing pieces or they didnt play with, I got rid of somehow or another. It seems, even when I try to de-clutter or organize, I still end up w/ too much stuff for this house to hold. Our attick is a mess!!! It looks like a cyclone went through it. I have things stashed in my closet, under my bed, in the kids' closet. It is a nightmare!

I came across this website organizinglife.com (see the button to the right of my blog). I didnt get much time to read through but I am sure it can help me! I need it, seriously! When I de-clutter/organize I just feel better. Is anyone else in this situation? It just drives me crazy and then some!

Rainy Day

Today it was rainy and yucky! Besides going to the gym, we didnt do much of anything. Pappy Cappie (Matt's dad) came to visit for a little bit. He and Matt are going to build a deck out back and they were measuring and marking spots to put the posts. The girls enjoyed seeing him.

I was able to clean my upstairs bathroom and put all the wash away after Laney woke from her nap. It is something that needed done and I have been putting it off too long. While I did that the girls played Hungry Hungry Hippos. Fun fun!

After dinner I snapped a few pics. Kayli actually asked me to, so I had to take her up on her offer. And Laney was very coperative as well. She kept making sure her hair was in the right place and said, "cheeze momma, 'oba' here momma, cheeze." It made me laugh! Kayli also took a few pictures. Mostly of the cats but one really good one of Laney!

Kayli took this...

it looks sweet, but really, Laney is trying to get Kayli off of her!

How time flies

I was looking at my children today while they were running around and having fun and I kept trying to remember them as babies. Or even back when Laney was born and Kayli was the age Laney is now. it seems so long ago. Well, it was about 2.5 yrs. ago. In 5 months, Laney will be 3 and Kayli will be 6. I just can get over how time flies. I vividly remember when Kayli was born everyone said how fast they grow. How they grow right before your eyes and before you know it they wont need their mommy/daddy the way they do now. All I thought was, "yeah, ok...whatever." And here I am missing my babies. I do love the age they are now. And I dont wish for the baby days of Laney again. Only because she was so crabby and she was one of those babies that cried non-stop and all night. We had many nights of no sleep with her. But I loved every minute of it...in hind sight :) What else gets me is, that Laney is the age Kayli was when Laney was born. Back then Kayli seemed more 'grown up' than Laney is now. They are truely 2 different little people, eventhough they are sisters. I am so grateful to be their mommy. I am so happy that I was/am blessed with 2 adorable, sweet, lovely little ladies! I love you girlies more than you will ever know. You are both my heart and soul :)

Hump Day

This morning was a very fun morning. My mom came down around 8AM and helped w/ the kids. We were planing on going to the gym together so she could take the aerobics class w/ me, at the gym I go to. However, I was not expecting her to show up at 8AM so there was still much to do for us to get through our morning routine. I am grateful that my mom did come down, dont get me wrong. But sometimes when she is here I feel like I have 3 children instead of two. haha! I was in the bathroom getting ready to go to the gym and I heard my mom cheering, just like a cheerleader, whenever my kids took a bite of their breakfast. Apparently, my kids werent very hungry and I forced breakfast on them because I knew that after the gym we were going to do something fun for them. And I figured they should eat something good before indulging in sweets! The cheerleading did work a little bit so I have to give my mom credit there :)

We finally made it out of the house and headed to the gym. The class was great! Made us sweat like total hog faces!!! I have never seen my mom sweat so much either. Way to go granny, for keeping up in the class!!! haha

After the gym we went to Rita's Italian Ice. Yummy! Laney got a Blendini w/ M&M's. Kayli ordered a "pink misto shake" so it was Watermelon. Not too good...and I dont think she liked it either. My mom and I got a Ritaccino. Yum-O!!! I loved it and I highly recommend it. The blendini was also good! BUT the entire time I was drinking my ritaccino in the back of my mind I knew that going to the gym was probably pointless. My mom kept saying, "oh Heidi we could have gotten something much worse. But when I got home I looked it up online and it was 780 calories, 20 grams of fat and 14 grams of saturated fat. Ugh, I am such a fatso!!!! So much for sweating like a hogface at the gym!

After Rita's we headed to the park and we all had fun! Kayli and Laney were running around like nuts, going up and down the slides over and over. My mom and I tried to see-saw... that would have been a good picture to post. However, I did not have my camera. Laney was scared to do some stuff. And if she fell she got really upset because she had mulch on her hands, on her shoes or on her shorts. She just stood there and cried until I went over and picked every last piece of mulch off of her. Like I said, my little old lady who doesnt like dirty-ness. There is a creek right by the park that we ended up IN. Kayli had her shoes off and was walking in it and Laney only wanted her one shoe/sock off beacuse she hurt her big toe, about...3 weeks ago, and refuses to take the bandaid off or her socks/shoes. In the end both kids had wet shorts, socks and shoes. It was lots of fun. After all that, we headed home. Laney is napping, Kayli is snacking and I am blogging :)

I hope all of you enjoy this post! I know it is long and if you got this far then KUDOS to you! :)
