Movie and some Pics

Like I said in my previous post, Matt and I went to see "Drag me to Hell" today. It was creepy and a bit gross. It was a good movie but it wasnt as "scary" as I thought it would be. I guess 'scary' is a matter of opinion though.

I enjoyed my time w/ Matt. We rarely get any time to ourselves so this was a wonderful break for us. Thanks to my mom and my girlies favorite playmate. haha That sounds pretty funny...my mom is so not a "Playmate" hahahha!

Anyway, I am going to cut this short b/c the MTV Movie Awards are on and I can't miss the preview of New Moon. For those of you who do not know, New Moon is the second book in Stephenie Meyers, Twilight series. I am such a geek, I know. I am so addicted!! :)

Last night Laney didnt sleep too well. I dont know if it was because of her cough or just because. She hasnt really been the best sleeper, at all, since she was born. I cant tell you how much that irritates me when she screams b/c she cant sleep. I understand when she is sick she will not sleep too well. But this happens almost every night, when she isnt sick. I am just so tired today. I love my little girlie to pieces. I just wish she'd love to sleep like the rest if us.





Today my mom is coming down to watch the girls so Matt and I can have a little 'date'. We are going to see "Drag Me to Hell." I can't wait, I love scary movies! My kids are overly excited for 'nanny' to come down. Kayli just keeps talking and talking and talking about it. Kayli reminds me A LOT of my mom. Her personality is almost the same. Dramatic, sensitive, talkative, friendly, animated, over the top, caring and a little bit cRaZy :) in a good way! haha

My Aunt

This has been on my mind, non-stop since it all started. Most of you do not know my Aunt... but some of you might? Since I have no clue who is going to read this, I have no clue who knows her and doesnt know her.

My Aunts name is Sandra. But all who know her well call her, Sam. She is the most amazing person I have ever known. Not only that, but she is (was) also one of the most healthiest people I know. That's why I am blogging about her...because that all changed drastically on April 25th. She was admitted to the hospital for a brain mass. They did surgery to remove the mass on Tues. April 28th. The DR. was able to remove all of it but said it was a highly aggressive, malignant tumor known as a glioblastoma. Therefore her prognosis is very serious. She went to rehab later that week and spent about 10 days there. She did great!

On Tuesady May 26th she started radiation. On Monday June 1st she will begin chemo. Through all this she has been able to keep her spirits high. She lets nothing bring her down. She is so brave. She is always happy and smiling. She speaks kindly of everyone/everything. She is more worried about everyone else than herself. What gives her this peace and happiness is her faith in the Lord. I think it is amazing. I admire her so much. I love her so much. My life would never be the same without her.

I do not know what my beliefs are. Or what my 'faith' is. But I do believe for people out there, like my Aunt, there is a better place when life on Earth ends. I never really pray(ed)...esp. on a daily basis. Hence, the not knowing my beliefs... but I do pray for my Aunt. I pray that her tumor never comes back. I pray that her health doesnt diminish w/ her treatments. I pray for my Uncle to find the strength to go through this. My poor Uncle...as you can imagine, he is devistated! I pray that Erik (my cousin) keeps praying :) and I am sure he will!

First Blog entry, eva!

This is my first blog entry, ever. I dont know where this will lead or if I will be an 'avid' bogger. I don't even know where to begin...

I guess the best place to start is the beginning...and in the beginning there were Matt and I. We had two little girls, Kayli and Laney. Right now, Kayli is 5 and Laney is 2. These girlies are my world, my heart, my soul, my life, my everything. Matt is my husband and I am quite fond of him too ;)

Finally, after a week of rain, it is a very nice day. At 3PM our friends from down the street are coming over for a playdate. We have a bouncy house and tons of other toys outside. It looks like we have a circus in our yard! However, the kids enjoy it and I enjoy watching them enjoy it! I will hopefully take some pictures and post them.
